Sabba’s Landscaping Retaining Walls near Ocean Grove, New Jersey
Your project can be phased, and each phase will look completed. In the end, each phase will tie together as if it was done all at once. For example, you could start with a concrete block retainer wall to replace your current and dilapidated railroad tie wall. Next season may include a patio that blends as if it was constructed at the same time as the retaining wall. New season…schedule the next project; perhaps a rock wall or a paver walkway. And, finally, finish with some beautiful trees, shrubs, and flowers.
You may love concrete blocks and hate stone while someone else loves wood and hates brick. Taste is an individual thing, and Sabba’s works closely with you to achieve your goals. The company uses your chosen materials to create a design that results in the best for your yard or place of business. Following are the types of materials commonly used in stone and retaining walls with some pros and cons each.

Ocean Grove is a unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Neptune Township, Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States.[9][10] It had a population of 3,342 at the 2010 United States Census.[3] It is located on the Atlantic Ocean’s Jersey Shore, between Asbury Park to the north and Bradley Beach to the south. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Ocean Grove is noted for its abundant examples of Victorian architecture and the Great Auditorium, acclaimed as “the state’s most wondrous wooden structure, soaring and sweeping, alive with the sound of music”.[11]
Ocean Grove was founded in 1869 as an outgrowth of the camp meeting movement in the United States, when a group of Methodist clergymen, led by William B. Osborn and Ellwood H. Stokes, formed the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association to develop and operate a summer camp meeting site on the New Jersey seashore.[12] By the early 20th century, the popular Christian meeting ground became known as the “Queen of Religious Resorts.”[13] The community’s land is still owned by the camp meeting association and leased to individual homeowners and businesses. Ocean Grove remains the longest-active camp meeting site in the United States.[14]
